The Annales Henri Lebesgue, hereafter abbreviated by AHL, is a free open-access journal of mathematics. It is the property of ÉNS de Rennes. Its editor-in-chief is Christoph Sorger.

The website of the journal AHL is divided into two parts:

2. Site Access Conditions

Accessing the Website implies the application and acceptance of these GTU.

The website publisher reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the present contract at any time, without notice.

It is so recommended that the user of the website (hereafter the “User”) regularly consults the last version of the terms of use.

Additionally, accessing the publication website implies the application and acceptance of the Centre Mersenne’s General Terms and Conditions of Use (TCU), applicable to websites developed by the Centre Mersenne.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

Website

The website content falls under the French legislation concerning the intellectual property and the copyright.

This entire site, including texts, images, videos, is protected by French and international legislation on copyright and intellectual property. It belongs to the Website publisher and/or developer and their tutelage. All rights of reproduction and distribution are reserved (except for strictly private use).

No document shall be modified, including copyrights and license notices that shall not be dissociated from the data they're attached to, whether your intention is to copy, transmit or print these data, unless otherwise stated or allowed by the Publisher, by law or by a specific license applicable to concerned content.

Databases

The database of the submission website belongs to the AHL. It contains information about the editorial process, together with personal information about editors, authors and referees.

Access to the publication website database containing the bibliographical references of all the articles of all the participating journals is totally free via the search and browse functions.

The database itself is produced by and remains the full and exclusive property of Mathdoc’s tutelage, CNRS and UGA. Nothing contained in these GTU or in the Centre Mersenne’s TCU shall be construed as automatically transferring or licensing any intellectual property right on the publication website database to the User.

As producers of the Mersenne Databases, CNRS and UGA benefit from the protection recognized for the producer of a database such as mentionned by the article L. 341-1 of the French code of the intellectual property. Consequently, Users shall not:

  • extract, by permanent or temporary transfer, the whole content, or a qualitatively or quantitatively substantial part of the content of the publication website database onto another medium, by any means and in any form whatsoever,
  • reuse, by making available to the public in whatever form, the whole content or qualitatively or quantitatively substantial parts of the content of the publication website database,
  • extract or repeatedly and systematically reuse non-qualitatively or non-quantitatively substantial parts of the content of the publication website database when these actions do not comply with a normal use of the databases.

Metadata attached to the publication website’s contents are available under licence CC0. centre Mersenne’s metadata are thus dedicated to the public domain. Centre Mersenne’s OAI-PMH server can be used for systematic download of metadata in various schemas.

Open Access documents

The Publisher provides open access to all the downloadable documents (journal articles, books, proceedings). Anyone can read and download them, without any limitation, subject, if applicable, to the terms of the licenses applicable to such documents.

Use of trademarks and logos

It is reminded to the User that the initials “CNRS”, the words “Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique” and the logo are registered as trademarks. It is thus prohibited to use or make reference to these denominations/name in any form or by any means whatsoever or for any purpose whatsoever without prior written agreement of CNRS.

It is also prohibited to refer to the names and logos of AHL, Mathdoc and the Centre Mersenne without prior written agreement of CNRS and UGA.

4. Protection of Personal Data

Users wishing to publish on the Website (Editors, referees, etc.) have to create an account using a username and a password. The User is solely responsible for the security and the use of his username and password.

In accordance with the French “Data protection and freedom of information” law, Number 78-17 (loi du 6 janvier 1978 dite “Informatiques et Libertés”) and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, (entered into force on May 25, 2018) concerning data processing and privacy, Users have the right to access, amend, correct or delete personal information that pertains to them at any time. They also have a right to portability, to oppose to the processing of their personal data, to ask for limitation of such processing, to withdraw their consent to it, and to ask, if applicable, for their account to be deleted.
They can exercise these rights and/or ask for further information, including on the Website publisher’s privacy policy, by sending an electronic message to contact(@)annales.lebesgue.fr.

5. Limitation of Liability

Access to the Website

The Website publisher or the developers shall not be held liable for difficulties of access or for difficulties in accessing or using the Website, due to the disturbances of the telecommunication network. The User declares to have been informed about the constraints and about the complexity of the world networks, and the influx of the users of Internet, at certain hours.

Publisher Contents

AHL, Mathdoc, CNRS and UGA do not own the content created and made available and/or downloadable online by any User on its OJS instance, on the publication website as well as in its Publications made available online and downloadable and thus could not be held liable for it.

Under no circumstances shall AHL, Mathdoc and/or CNRS and UGA be liable for any damages that may result from or be in relation to the use or interpretation of the submission website and/or its contents, as they have no control over it.

AHL, Mathdoc, CNRS and UGA could not be held liable for any inaccuracy, errors or omissions, relating to the information accessible through the Website, when it has not produced this information.

AHL and Mathdoc reserve the right to remove any contents identified as being illicit by itself or the user.

Damages

AHL and Mathdoc could not be held liable in the following situations:

  • Virus infection of the User data and/or the User computer systems,
  • Any damage that may affect any equipment connected to the centre Mersenne and Publication websites, as this is the responsibility of the User,
  • Any fraudulent use of its means of dissemination,
  • Intrusion into its computer systems and theft of any data which may result from it.

However, they implement the protections necessary to prevent any illicit intrusions.

In no event shall AHL, Mathdoc, CNRS and UGA be held liable for incidental or consequential damage that may result from the present terms of use.

Incidental or consequential damage that are not entitled to compensation are the following: commercial losses, damage to the User image, profit and revenue losses, interruption of business, delayed entry into service or lost revenues, third party claims, data and files losses.

As for the publication website, notwithstanding the above articles and regarding Mathdoc's and CNRS and UGA's liability, article 7 of the Centre Mersenne's TCU, available under this link shall apply.
In case of contradiction between the Centre Mersenne’s TCU and these GTU, the Centre Mersenne’s TCU shall prevail.

Our websites may contain links to existing websites or to websites operated by third parties. The portal cannot exert permanent control over these sites, nor assume any responsibility for their conditions of access, content, advertising and services offered or the use that can be done.

6. Application law and competent court

French law applies to these GTU, as well as to the content and data transmission in and around the Website. All disputes and claims that cannot be settled amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
